A Few New Hats

These are a couple of hats that I crocheted a while ago but never did get around to getting pictures of them. Both hats pictured here are designed for toddlers but the sizes can be changed upon request.

Hat and Poncho Combo

This is a new design of mine. I have created a hat and poncho combo. Both are made with a red flower, and there is the option to have the flower attached with a button so that it can be changed to a different colour or removed completely.

Cost: $40.00 for both!

Getting back to work....

Now that the holidays are almost over I can get back to doing what I love - making hats! Our sales over the holidays were fantastic and I was very impressed with the number of adult hats that were ordered in addition to the many children's hats. 

I am starting a new line of hats in the new year. I have been approached by several people about making animal hats and funny hats. I have uploaded a picture of an owl hat that I created for my daughter-in-law. If anyone has any ideas of animal hats that would be cool and fun for kids please send me a message and I will see what I can do!

Today's Pattern: The Shells and Stripes Beanie

This listing is for the pattern only - not the finished item.

The design features a series of stripes and cluster shells that come together in a unique style. 

Use weight worsted wool for sizes B and C and baby wool or Paton's Astra for Size A. Hook sizes required are G, H and I.

The pattern is for three sizes:

A- newborn to three months
B - three to nine months
C - nine months to toddler

Skill level - Easy/Intermediate

Pattern will be delivered via email as a PDF document within 12 hours of receipt of payment and order

Different styles and patterns...

 This patterned purple beanie comes with a white flower that is secured to the hat with yarn and then has a button added for extra flair.

 The above purple hat is an elegant hat with a swirl pattern. The pattern can be seen again in the last picture of the green hat. This hat is very warm and comfortable and accents can be added to give the hat that extra something.

This snowboarder style hat is beautiful! It can be worn when you are outside with the kids having fun in the snow or it can be worn when headed out for a night out. The colours used in the hat can be changed.

Another version of the swirl patterned hat, this green colour allows you to see the pattern perfectly.

Busy, Busy, Busy

December has been a busy month so far, with making hats and trying to prepare for the holidays there hardly seems enough time to get things done. The hat orders continue to come in and I am trying to get them out as soon as possible for the holidays. I have been experimenting with new patterns and trying to create as many original designs as possible. There have been some successful designs and others that we won't talk about :)

With each hat that I design my daughter is asking for one for my grandchildren. Those two boys have more hats than you can imagine and they will never wear them all. I think she just wants to put the hats on a take cute pictures. I do have to say though, they do make good models!

I want to thank you all for reading my blog and I hope to receive more orders in the new year. Stayed tuned for upcoming news and patterns. Pocket Cap

This hat has a pocket located on the front. It can be used by children to store their little treasures. The pocket has been lined with a different colour wool and has a matching button. The button can be replaced with a bobble, depending on preference.

Dual Tasseled Hat

We have been experimenting with something different and we have created this fun, whimsical hat. This hat has two tassels that hang slightly from the top of the hat. The cabled panel at the front of the hat keeps things interesting.

Slouchy Beanies

We now have slouchy beanies. This is one of the designs that we have at the moment. It is made with green here but can be made in any colour.

A new audience

When I started this blog, I expected friends and family to view the blog, but never did I expect so many people from different countries to check out my site and my hats. I am happy to say that thanks to the blog I am getting more orders for my hats. Tomorrow I am heading out to buy more wool as my supply is quickly running low. I am looking for new and exciting colours, so if anyone has any suggestions please leave a comment and I will see what I can find.

Snowboarding Baby!!

This is a cute snowboarding hat that can be made for a newborn or an adult and every age in between. It comes in a variety of colours. I am currently working on a blue hat for my five month old grandson. I am also going to make some with a tassel on top to give the hat that something extra!

The knitted beanie comes in a variety of sizes and colours. It can be made in whatever colour you prefer. The flower is small on this one but can be made larger. We are experimenting with butterfly patterns as well to see what looks best on this hat. Stay tuned for more designs!
