Kufi Hats
I have been noticing online over the last few months that everyone out there is making and selling Kufi hats. I eagerly went on the search for this pattern and was amazed at what I found. I was shocked to find that the majority of people selling Kufi hats are not actually making themselves. These hats can be ordered online for a very low price and are then being advertised and sold as a handmade product. In my opinion, something that is manufactured by a machine is not handmade and it made me a little mad that I am working hard to create authentic handmade products and selling them as such, while other people are finding products overseas manufactured on a machine and selling them as a handmade product. Now, I do not fault anyone for trying to sell these hats and to make a profit, if you can do that; great. What does upset me is that they are being advertised as handmade when in fact they are not.
I have since found a pattern for a Kufi hat and I will be selling those hats on my site and I can assure my customers that when I advertise something as handmade, it is in fact 100 % handmade. Check back for the latest pictures of my Kufi hats.

Crochet beanie with buttons
While I do enjoy making my hats with large flowers on them, I decided tonight that I would try something different from what I normally do. So I took one of my most popular hat and created it without the traditional flower. I had originally planned to put a pink flower on this hat but changed my mind. I then searched threw my stash of buttons and found two the same and secured them to the hat. I think it's cute - let me know what you think :)
Striped Beanie with Flowers
I love the colour combination for this hat. It has been designed for a toddler but can be made larger or smaller upon request. The three small flowers are secured to the hat but you can opt for a hat that has one large flower instead.

Learning To Crochet
My daughter is now learning how to crochet and she is realizing that while it appears to be easy, it is a little harder than she first thought. I have made several attempts to help her but we are finding that since she is left handed and I am right handed, she is unable to crochet the same way that I am. In order to resolve this problem she has discovered that YouTube is a great place to get help. There are a number of videos that you can view to help you master the various stitches required to crochet a beanie or newsboy hat.
Today she completed her first hat! Will post pictures of it later!!

Waffle hat with flower
100 % hand crafted waffle hat with silk flower. The flower is secured to the hat using a clip and can be removed from the hat. The flower clip can then be used in the hair. The colour of the hat can be changed as can the flower.
Silk Flower Headbands
I started to crochet my headbands and realized that a headband needed something more so I created a silk flower with a jewel center. This flower has been secured to a clip so that it can be removed from the hat so that it can be worn in the hair all on its own. The center of the flower can be changed as can the colour. I am now creating a couple of hats with large silk flowers....stay tuned!

Whirly Bird Hat
I had no idea what to call this hat but when I look at it I automatically think Whirly Bird :) I know it's crazy, so if anyone knows a better name send me a message and I'll change it. This hat is an original design. I started to work on a pattern that I had done many times and somewhere along the line the pattern started to change and instead of making my normal flower I decided to change it up a little and leave the flower unfolded and simply attached them to the top of the hat. I have to say, for a spur of the moment hat I quite like it! I think the colour combinations are great and would suit a child of any age.
Flower Headbands
In recent weeks I have been trying to find something different to crochet other than hats. I love making my hats but I felt it was time to do something else - so I started crocheting headbands. So far I have only completed two, but intend to do more. The headband would retail for 5.00 no matter the size or style that you are looking for.
This headband has a smaller headband and three layer flower. The headband can be designed to fit a newborn to small child.
